When the merry-go-round stops ...

It’s crazy how much Stanley Baran knows.  It’s not just about communication, it’s also about politics, psychology, law, ethics, human nature, debate, corporate evil and even about the unknown.  The debates and philosophies are numerous, and both sides have valid points.  There is a massive amount of consideration in mass communication for sure.

At first I felt overwhelmed, and then I started to think of all the people on this world like animals who had come alive on one big colorful merry-go-round who all see the world in different ways.  Some see it from high upon their decorated horses, others see it from down low on their stationary carriages, while yet others see it from both perspectives as their horses move up and down.  All the while, the music remains the same, but the scenery keeps changing every moment throughout every season.  You can’t control all the thoughts the animals think as they’re riding up and down and all around or even what they’re going to do when they get off, but you trust that the tune of life will bring harmony and sanity to it all.

I understand the dynamic integration of mass media, globalization, truth, economy, sales, character, feasibility, ignorance, enlightenment, realistic expectations, trusting those with expertise, power, knowledge, imperfection, deception and cultural differences.  To calm the storm of unbridled words from the collective untamed human nature that paints our world, not only must there be truth, love and acceptance, but the spiritual powers that be must also be reckoned with.  “Not by power, not by might, but by my spirit saith the Lord.”  Zechariah 4:6   “Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”  1 Corinthians 13:8
