Ruined
I just got back from a David Garrett concert
the whole show i was distracted by how much i wanted him
cuz he's so hot
so sexy
so sweet
and funny and smart
and passionate
and he plays the violin
like you want him to play your soul
and your body lol
incredible
and so after the show
i walked out feeling ruined
ruined for any other guy
cuz nobody else is david garrett
and i laughed
because i knew my feelings could ruin me
feeling ruined by a man
knowing you're not going to have him
but like there's no other who can blow you away
like him
the guy who instantly gets you over
any guy that ever had his hook in you
but you can't even go near him
and so you are ruined
ever feel that way?
ruined
stop
you get what you say
you feel what you condemn
whatever prison you walk into
and lock the door behind you
in your mind
the truth?
the man you want
is God extended
all the men you ever wanted
cannot even sum to be the dust of God
for God is all that is good
and the man you want
is of God
is like God
a mere thumbprint of God
so what you thirst for
you can have
in God
remember that
when you think you cannot have
the one you want
be not ruined
you are not only unruinable
in the right mind
but
the love of God
the one
who formed men from the mud
and blew his breath into them
the one
who before Him
all men
are put to shame
wishes you as His bride
you are loved by the All Mighty
you are wanted by the King of the Universe
the one whose beauty
projects by reflections and shadows
onto the images of man
all His beauty
even the beauty of David
and the sweet spirit in David
is of God
and the humor and gentleness
it is of God
the passion and the cool
that, too
is God
so be not sad
be not ruined
but adore the Savior even more
knowing it is He who is your beloved soulmate
the one whose beauty it is
