Marriage is an Issue of the Heart

If you're a Christian,  you might want to start out with Romans 7.  Side note: The Bible talks about being free from the law, and the marriage law was the very example God used that we are free from.  “So, my brothers, you also died to the law, that you might be married to Christ." Romans 7:4 Marriage is an issue of the heart.

1 out of 2 teens admits they've had sex, but the actual number is probably higher.  Problem is, parents still don't want to hear about their teens having sex, so they don't talk about it and don't get their kids on birth control.  Here's what happens:  A teenage girl's parents says she can't have sex until she gets married, and she can't get married until she finishes college.  So then, no sex until she's about 23.  From age 14 to 23 she's expected to refrain from having sex.  God gave humans the desire to have sex during that age span; and, of course, the kids do.  Now, unless the girl sneaks and gets birth control, she gets pregnant and then has to deal with the issue of either having a baby or aborting one. There are 46 million abortions worldwide every year.

Big problem here ...

In the olden days and for century after century, the human species didn't have to wait until they finished college to have sex.  They were getting married in their early teens and even younger.  The physical body was designed to have sex after puberty, and the cravings come from the way the creator created the body.  Whoever created the myth that teens could just wait an extra 8 or 10 years probably hasn't thought it through very well that for thousands of years until just this century people were getting married much earlier than they do today.

So, do you send your kid off to get married because they got pregant? Of course not, but it happens all the time ... and that's one reason why 1 out of 2 couples end in divorce--they get married for sex.  Don't make your kids feel bad because the new ways of society have messed up what was going on for millenia, and think twice about breaking up your kid's relationship because they had sex, because you just might be breaking up a real marriage: marriage is an issue of the heart.
