MY CHRISTMAS STORY
December 2006 & 2007
December 4, 2006 I redecorated my room and made plans to get a tree and decorate it,
too, for Christmas. I
wanted a real tree but didn't want to cut one down or
spend money on one. So, I got up that morning and called work to
see if they had an extra artificial one. Oh, I guess just 1/2 hour
passed when I was outside and heard a loud crackly
SNAP!! I didn't think much about
it ... until I looked out my kitchen window
and saw a 20-foot soft
fir pine tree laying
6 feet from my home.
You got it ... my Christmas tree dropped right out of the sky.
It really was a Happy Charlie Brown Christmas that
year !! Normally I park my car under that huge tree, but that night I
forgot. Thank goodness !! That Christmas I had real Christmas trees for every room in the house
!! God sure knows how to make things easy. I never even thought
to ask him to drop one out of the sky for me, but He sure did. Just like Santa would !!

The star on top of the cake? To
finish decorating my room, I wanted flowers and went to bed that night saying I gotta get a couple of really BIG
FLOWERS for that tall
skinny little ole empty white vase I pulled out. Funny thing, when my good neighbor lent me a saw to trim my tree, she
left me a present: TWO BIG WHITE
FLOWERS!!
My neighbor didn't know
I wanted flowers, but God sees everything: the big
and the little and
wants us to know that He wants to take care of everything ... especially
you.
DECEMBER 2007:
ONE YEAR LATER
Well didn't you know that I needed another Christmas tree? Though I
thought about one falling from the sky, I didn't ask for it. (lol)
Sure enough, though, on December 2, 2007 the Northeast had quite an ice
storm, and on December 3rd, there in my backyard I found two 20-foot soft
fir pine tree branches that had fallen from the storm. Amazed (and not so amazed),
I said, Gheez Lord, You did it again, didn't you!! Then I thought to
myself, "H'mm last year's tree fell only 6 feet from the house, but these
two trees fell 30 feet from the house. Didn't think too much about
that though until the next day, December 4, exactly one year
to the day from when last year's tree feel in the same spot ... yes ... you
got it !! ... when I woke up on December 4, ANOTHER 20-foot soft fur pine
branch fell right in the same spot last year's did ... just 6 feet from my
home !! Boy, I guess He cares a little
more than we think He does. (lol)
So, my friends, last year's lesson was that God cares about all the big and
little things (and still does), and this year's lesson is that good things can come from
storms.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS AND THANK YOU ...
