Love withdrawal and Pain
pain runs deep
can't even sleep
can't run away
cuz it's back the next day
like the world's crashing down
and the sun's gone away
and the permanent frown
on your face there to stay
it's the dopamine
the drug unseen
when leaving your mind
it's so unkind
and makes you go blind
tricking you
into being blue
oh that love withdrawal
boo hoo
gotta recognize it
right from the start
cuz its deadly grip
will rip out your heart
don't be blind
just use your mind
and understand
this drug's a mime
dopamine leaving
your body's a grave
deep down grieving
you're just its slave
no way to be saved
nothing to do
but fight your way back
from being so blue
love withdrawal attack
can't seem to shake it
like sinking in sand
and all of this
for the love of a man
why must we need
what makes us bleed
is there an answer
from Heaven above
why must we desperately
need love
who can touch
into the abyss
reaching into the heart
of that whom we miss
bringing us back
to the great land of bliss
can it be God
or would it be me
to help me not sob
and bring me some glee
or must i just face
this pain all alone
and maybe just with
someone on the phone
where or where
is my heart's key
to set me free
from the pain in me
well one thing is sure
i've felt this before
and yes it did pass
so forever won't last
what doesn't end up destiny
really wasn't mean to be
wasn't the best
didn't pass the test
all very plain to see
but what can i do
to help it go away
this pain inside me
hurts so badly today
i know being thankful
is one thing to do
and being hopeful
that my dream will come true
a prince on a horse
will come take me away
and forever and ever and ever
we'll play
sure that's just what i'll have to do
i'll think of my prince
and how he loves me, too
for the Lord did say
that faith move mountains
even this one
my teary fountain
so i lay worry down
and put down my frown
and instead just think
about
my wedding gown
for there is enough love
for all of mankind
sent from above
so this mountain i'll climb
climb to the top
where there i will be
with the one that i'lI love
forever with me
